HOW TO USE CASSIA

Cassia Bark, Sticks, Chips or Powder?

Cassia can arrive as natural bark, neat rolled sticks, small chips or fine powder. The flavour family is similar, but each form behaves differently in a pot, grinder, retail pack or seasoning blend.

PRACTICAL TIPS

Five forms and where each one works best

01

Long bark

Choose it when you will cut, grind or extract the material yourself.

Specify length, width and thickness so it fits your cutting or milling equipment.

02

Long rolled sticks

Use where appearance matters, such as drinks, display packs and visible cooking.

Long sticks are easy to remove after infusion and make an attractive retail presentation.

03

Short sticks

Choose a fixed cut for tea sachets, drink service and portion packs.

A consistent length simplifies packing and gives each portion a similar appearance.

04

Broken chips

Use for tea blends, grinding, extraction and long-cooked sauces.

Define the piece-size range and limit fine particles if flow and dosing matter.

05

Powder

Use in baking, dry blends, marinades and food production.

Powder disperses quickly but loses aroma faster, so keep it sealed and order the mesh you need.
